Typing and local storage
Clink is made by Anti Limited (anti.ltd). No Clink account is required. Clink has no advertising or cross-app tracking. Core typing, suggestions and predictions stay on your device. Cloud AI is a separate, optional feature described below. Typing, autocorrection, swipe decoding, handwriting, and optional learning process text locally. Settings, clipboard history, notes, and learned vocabulary can be stored on your device. Text you insert into another app is subject to that app’s practices.
Automation data
Rules are stored in Clink’s shared app container and evaluated locally. The automation context and diagnostics do not collect typed text, selections, clipboard contents or the host app’s identity. Exported rules can contain custom configuration and plugin references, so review them before sharing. Rules are separate from iCloud sync.
Optional iCloud Sync
You choose whether to sync profiles, custom themes, text clipboard history, and learned vocabulary. Clipboard and vocabulary sync start off. Records are encrypted on-device with AES-GCM; the key is stored in your iCloud Keychain. Anti Limited has no sync server or copy of that key. Copied images, notes, typed messages, and theme background photos are not synced by Clink. You can inspect and delete stored categories in the app; deleting a cloud category keeps the local copy and turns off sync for that category.
Apple features and dictation
Optional Apple Intelligence actions use Apple’s on-device model. They depend on compatible hardware, OS, languages, and installed resources. Handwriting uses local recognition. Translation uses downloaded Apple language packs or the supported on-device AI model. Dictation is different: the modern SpeechTranscriber runs locally when ready, but the legacy recognizer can process audio on Apple’s servers. Apple’s terms and privacy practices apply to its services.
Optional cloud AI with your own API key
Cloud AI is optional and requires Clink Pro and your own provider API key. You can choose OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini or a custom OpenAI-compatible HTTPS endpoint in Integrations. After you allow cloud requests, starting an AI Tools action sends its prompt and chosen text directly to that provider. A custom prompt can include surrounding text or clipboard content; the context option controls additional surrounding text. The AI creator sends your description and current plugin, panel, action or automation draft. The provider also receives your API key and connection information such as your IP address. Anti Limited does not proxy these requests. Suggestions, predictions and background typing assistance remain on device. Apple’s offline translation and Apple Intelligence process text on device. If you choose cloud AI for translation, the text you submit, target language and tone go directly to your selected provider.
Keys are stored in this device’s Keychain, shared only with the Clink keyboard, and excluded from iCloud sync and exported configurations. Cloud AI in the keyboard needs Full Access. Turn off cloud requests or delete the key in Integrations to stop future requests. This does not erase requests already received by a provider; Keychain items may survive app removal. Provider charges are separate from Clink Pro. Retention, training use, processing location and deletion rights depend on your provider, model, plan and settings. Clink does not promise zero retention or no training by every provider. Review your provider’s current terms before sending sensitive content.
AI build history, including descriptions, draft code, results and diagnostic details, is saved only in this app on this device and excluded from backups, iCloud sync and configuration exports. You can delete it in Build tasks or choose to share diagnostic details. Closing the creator does not cancel a build. Interrupted builds require you to retry; Clink does not automatically resubmit them after restarting.
Purchases, downloads, and links
The companion app connects to Apple for StoreKit purchases and restoration, to iCloud if enabled, and to hosts for release information and verified downloadable packs. It can access repositories you add and links you open. Those hosts receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address. Purchase payments are handled by Apple; Clink reads verified entitlement information, not your payment card details. Downloading a pack is separate from the offline typing path.
Permissions you control
Full Access enables clipboard access, custom feedback, and shared-storage capabilities; it is optional for core typing. Microphone access supports dictation and recording your own key sounds. Speech recognition permission supports Apple speech transcription. Camera access scans theme QR codes locally. Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode can protect viewing stored iCloud contents. Add-only Photos access saves images you choose to export. Selecting a theme photo grants access to that selected image. Manage permissions in iOS Settings.
Optional typing analytics
Typing analytics are off by default. If enabled, statistics about speed, corrections, and key use are computed and stored locally. They are not uploaded, shared, or sold. Use Reset analytics data in Clink to erase them.
This website and support
This website uses no cookies, advertising, behavioral analytics, fingerprinting, session replay, or marketing pixels. Fonts and assets are served locally. Your appearance choice is saved only in your browser’s local storage. Cloudflare delivers the website and processes connection information to serve and protect requests. If you email support, Anti Limited receives the address and information you choose to send. The website does not attach diagnostics or collect your typing.
The App Store page is the exception to that: your browser asks Apple’s public store service for the listing, its images and its reviews, which shows Apple the same connection details as opening the listing in the App Store would. The region is guessed inside your browser from your device’s time zone, and the region you pick is kept in local storage. None of it reaches Anti Limited.
Retention and deletion
Use Clink’s controls to remove saved clips, notes, learned words, and analytics. Delete iCloud categories separately in iCloud Sync; removing the app alone does not erase cloud copies. Local data remains until you delete it or remove the app, subject to your device’s backup settings. Support correspondence is retained as needed to respond and meet applicable obligations. Contact us to request deletion of correspondence; Apple controls its purchase records.
Children and policy changes
Clink does not knowingly collect children’s personal information through typing. If a child has sent personal information to support, contact us to request its removal. We will update this policy when relevant product or data practices change and revise the date above. Questions about privacy can be sent to contact@anti.ltd.
