Turning it on.
Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard → Clink
Add Clink in iOS Keyboard settings, then hold the globe key in any app and pick it. Full Access is optional.
If Clink does not appear
Enable Clink in iOS Keyboard settings, then hold the globe key. iOS uses its own keyboard in secure fields, and some apps block custom keyboards altogether. If Clink closes on its own, reopen it and check Stability.
Privacy
Full Access is optional for typing. It enables clipboard features, custom feedback and cloud AI requests you choose to run. Suggestions and predictions stay on device.
Sound
Custom sounds and haptics need Full Access. The standard click works without it.
Clipboard
Clipboard features need Full Access because iOS requires it to read the pasteboard.
Offline language resources
Open Languages in Clink, pick the keyboard languages you need, and let their resources download. Typing then works offline. Apple’s translation and speech resources download separately.
Dictation
Dictation uses on-device SpeechTranscriber when available on iOS 26 with its language resources ready. The compatibility speech recognizer can send audio to Apple’s servers, including while those resources download. Dictation is not always offline.
Compatibility
iPhone and iPad on iOS 17 or later. Liquid Glass needs iOS 26 and supported hardware. Apple Intelligence needs a device with it enabled. Translation packs need iOS 18 or later.
Profiles and sync
You choose whether to sync profiles, custom themes, text clipboard history, and learned vocabulary. Clipboard and vocabulary sync start off. Records are encrypted on-device with AES-GCM; the key is stored in your iCloud Keychain. Anti Limited has no sync server or copy of that key. Copied images, notes, typed messages, and theme background photos are not synced by Clink. You can inspect and delete stored categories in the app; deleting a cloud category keeps the local copy and turns off sync for that category.
Restoring membership
Open the membership screen and tap Restore Purchases with the Apple Account that bought it. If tools stay locked, reopen the app with a connection and get in touch. Never send us your password.
Importing themes and layouts
Open a .clinktheme or .clinklayout file with Clink and check the import preview. Personal imports need Membership. Only open files you trust.

iOS remembers the last keyboard you used in each app, so you switch once per app.
I keep hitting the key next to the one I want
Adaptive hitboxes grow the keys you're likely to type next and shrink the ones you aren't. Nothing moves on screen, so you never see it happen.
Can I add my own keys?
The Layout editor builds keys, rows and whole extra pages.
How do I turn autocorrect off?
The suggestion bar and the corrections are separate switches, so you can keep one and drop the other.
Can I make a shortcut expand into a phrase?
Type a few letters, get the whole thing.
Where are the tools on the keyboard?
Behind the tools button on the suggestion bar.
Where does everything I copy go?
Clipboard keeps what you've copied so you can paste something from an hour ago, and pin the things you paste constantly.
Can I write with my finger instead?
Handwriting turns the keyboard into a pad: write, and it becomes text.
Can I change the language of this app?
It's separate from what you type in, so the app can be in one language while the keyboard writes another.
Can I keep more than one setup?
A profile saves the whole keyboard: theme, layout, sizes, every setting.
