Clink carries its own packs and its own volume, separate from the click iOS makes for the system keyboard.

Key sounds follow the ring and silent switch. The system click also needs Keyboard Clicks turned on in iOS Settings, under Sounds & Haptics.

Mechanical keyboard feel on iPhone

You cannot put real switches under the glass. You can get the feel: sculpted 3D keycaps in the theme, metal materials, sound packs, and haptics that still fire when the system click is off.

Sound-only “mechanical keyboard” apps stop at the click. Clink is a full typing stack (swipe, autocorrect, layouts) that can also sound and look like a board you own.

The haptic strength is Clink's own, so it works even where the system click is off.

Custom sounds and haptics need Full Access. The standard click works without it.

Sound packs

Make a pack from your own clicks: a file, a recording, or a copy of a built-in one to start from.

1. Open Sound and tap New pack, or duplicate a pack you like and start from that.
2. Add a sound: record one, or choose a wav, m4a or mp3 file.
3. Name the pack and save it. It joins the library, and you switch to it like any other.

Recording asks for the microphone the first time. Keep the clips short: a key sound is a click, not a bar of music.

A pack travels as one file with its audio inside it, so sending someone the sound of your keyboard is a single share.
