Export it
Each file is exported from the screen that makes it: a theme from the theme editor, a layout from the layout editor, a profile from the profiles list, a sound pack from Sound and Feel, a panel or an action from its own editor.
- Open the thing you made: a theme in the theme editor, a layout in the layout editor, a profile in Profiles.
- Choose the share or export option on that screen.
- Send the file however you like. It is small enough to go in a message.

QR code
Send a theme as a QR code and scan it back on another phone. A theme too detailed for one code travels as a file instead.
- Choose QR code instead of a file. The code appears on screen.
- On the other phone, open the same screen and choose Scan QR.
A theme with a photo behind it is too big for a code, so Clink writes a file for that one instead.
Opening one you were sent
Open a .clinktheme or .clinklayout file with Clink and check the import preview. Personal imports need Membership. Only open files you trust.
Clink registers its file types with iOS, so Files, AirDrop, Messages and any share sheet offer to open one in Clink.
Panels, actions and layouts you import get a fresh id, so a file someone sends you never replaces one of yours.
Only open files you trust
Scripts run in Clink's own interpreter, which has no imports, no files, no processes and no network. Typing stays offline whatever you write, and a script you install cannot change that.
A theme or a layout is data and cannot do anything on its own. A panel or an action is a script, and although it runs with no files, no network and a step budget, it is still somebody else’s code.
