- Open iCloud Sync and turn it on.
- Choose which categories travel. Clipboard history and learned words start off.
They do once iCloud Sync is on: profiles and themes travel with your Apple Account.
What travels
Profiles and custom themes, plus your text clipboard history and learned words if you switch those on. Notes, copied images and the photos behind your themes stay on the device.
Copied images. Only the text in your clipboard history can travel.
How it is protected
Yes. Everything is sealed on your device first, and the key never leaves your iCloud Keychain.
Everything is encrypted on this device before it goes up. The key stays in your iCloud Keychain, so only your devices can open it.
See what is up there
- Open iCloud Sync and tap Show what’s stored. Clink asks Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode first.
- Delete one category, or everything, from the same screen.

Deleting a category from iCloud keeps the copy on this device and turns sync off for that category. Removing the app alone does not clear what is in iCloud.
Backup & Restore
Your whole setup travels as one file. Save it, share it, bring it back anywhere.
- Open Backup & Restore.
- Export the configuration. It saves as a single file.
- Keep it somewhere you will find it again. Opening it on any iPhone with Clink puts the setup back.
Factory reset
Factory reset puts Clink back to the way it arrived. The same screen carries narrower resets, for when you only want to clear your themes, layouts, panels or actions.
A reset is local. Anything already in iCloud stays there until you delete it from iCloud Sync.
