Split keyboard

Pull the keys apart to both edges for thumb typing, with the gap width under your control. The number and symbol pages can split with it.

Bring the whole keyboard under one thumb, left or right, at whatever width suits your hand. A shortcut on the bar puts it back.

There are two, depending on how you're holding the phone.

The Layout editor builds keys, rows and whole extra pages.

Open Layout and start from the one you are using, or from any layout in the library.
Drag keys and rows around on the keyboard itself. Tap a key to change what it does.
Use Key and Row to add more, and Element for the pieces that are not keys.
Name it and save. It joins your library, and the original is untouched.

A row grip pins that row across the letters, numbers and symbols pages, so a row you add once follows you to all three.

One tap adds the keys people ask for most: period and comma, .com, an emoji key, a language key, undo and redo, or Arabic tashkeel.

Keys that sit beside the space bar on every layout, in every language. They stay put when you switch.

Layouts you save sit in the library next to the built-in arrangements, and you can move between them from the keyboard without opening the app.
