Translate something
Translate typed or pasted text into another language, right inside the keyboard. Adds a translate panel to the panel button.
- Open Translate from the tools button.
- Type or paste the text, and pick the language you want it in.
- Insert the result where you were writing.

Translate with Apple Intelligence instead of Apple's offline language packs. Reads better, especially on idioms. Turn it off for faster translations and more languages.

Which languages are available
Downloaded Apple language packs work offline. AI translation uses your selected provider; supported languages and results depend on the model.
Translation packs need iOS 18 or later, and they download from Apple rather than from Clink.
Where the text goes
Apple’s offline translation and Apple Intelligence process text on device. If you choose cloud AI for translation, the text you submit, target language and tone go directly to your selected provider.
